Keep on top of your company’s PSC requirements with our easy PSC online register.
What is a PSC?
A Person of Significant Control (PSC) is someone who meets one or more of the criteria:
- People who have 25% or more of the shares
- People who have 25% or more of the voting rights
- The right to appoint or remove the majority of board directors.
All UK companies must keep and maintain a register of PSCs for Companies House, failure to do so is an arrestable offence.
The PSC register was introduced in the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 in order to have complete transparency over who operates and owns companies in the UK to combat money laundering.
